Plant Professionals (P2) Serving As Grand Sponsor of Coal Users Group Meeting

Presenting at Break-Out Sessions and Exhibiting in Booth 1626

March, 2008 — Montgomery, IL — Plant Professionals (P2), a division of Benetech, Inc., is the grand sponsor of this year’s Coal Users Group Meeting being held in conjunction with the Electric Power Show, from May 6 to 8 at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Peter Zinecker of Benetech will speak during one of the meeting’s breakout sessions. Mr. Zinecker will be co-presenting with Troy Mussetter from Westar Energy on May 7, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on The Lifecycle of Coal-Handling Changes.

Westar Energy and Benetech are presenting under the Safety First program, which is the focus of Capital Improvement at Westar’s Jeffrey Energy Center Coal Handling Department. The program’s mission is to minimize the hazards to personnel and reduce the risk of equipment failure by operating the cleanest power plant coal-handling system possible. Additional goals driving investment in the coal-handling system include improved reliability to ensure the operating units have coal as needed 100% of the time. The Westar Energy presentation will address processes and projects that can achieve these goals.

Mark Collett, Vice President of Business Development of the Plant Professionals Division will present throughout the meeting and the Electric Power show. He will speak during the PRB Best Practices pre-session to be held on May 5, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. This workshop is designed to familiarize attendees with each of the Best Practices developed by the PRB Coal Users Group (PRBCUG) and will be presented by several members of the PRBCUG Board of Directors.

Mr. Collett will also present a joint session with Electric Power, Safety Track on May 6, entitled “OSHA Policies and Procedures for Inspecting Workplaces that Create or Handle Combustible Dust,” from 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. This session will summarize the new OSHA Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program which every plant that generates dust will need to become educated about in order to avoid stiff penalties and fines. And, finally, Mr. Collett will co-present during the Electric Power conference session, track 5; Material Handling System Upgrades, and will discuss coal blending system methods.
