October, 2005, Montgomery, IL – Benetech, Inc. announced the appointment of Mark Collett to fill the new position of Vice President of Business Development. In his new role, Mr. Collett will be responsible for developing customer focused business strategies to effectively deliver Benetech's coal handling programs to market.

Mr. Collett is a senior-level executive with more than 30 years of experience in business development and project management in the material handling field. His most recent position was Vice President of Project Development for Roberts & Schaefer Company.

"Mark has extensive experience and understanding of the industry's critical business drivers, solution requirements and related technology enablers," said Ron Pircon, President and CEO of Benetech, Inc. "His expertise will provide the thrust to deliver Benetech's product, service and consultative offerings that make up our single-source solutions for coal yards. He will be responsible for advancing our Risk Index® and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) cost reduction programs, as well as promoting our expertise in PRB conversions and other relevant industry issues."

In addition to his Vice President of Project Development role at Roberts & Schaefer Company, Mr. Collett has held previous positions in electrical engineering and project management. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Rocky Mountain Coal Mining Institute, and the Board of Directors of the PRB Coal Users Group.

Mr. Collett holds a Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Utah/Columbia Pacific University and an Executive Management Certificate in Business Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
